Modular High End Tube Preamp/DI PM1A ....................Engineers Talk
	The TUBE-TECH modular Micpre/ DI is based on our classic MP1A but with some important new features. The tube amplifier is upgraded to even higher headroom than the earlier TUBE-TECH micpre's. ( Overload is now indicated with a red LED.)   By adding this feature, John Petersen also raised the audio quality of the amplifier to a level nobody would have thought was possible. The first listening tests of the PM1A immediately showed improved transparency and fidelity. Recordings done by us and our users have also proven the quality of the PM1A to be true state of the art.   The micpre also features an impedance switch that perfectly match the input to all types of microphones, including the increasing amount of popular ribbon mic's.   Again the custom built power supply of the TUBE-TECH RM series racks make high end sound quality possible from a tube based modular system.   More sound samples from PM1A recordings will soon be uploaded.

Modular Mic Pre/DI PM1A ..........................Product Description
	The PM 1A is an exceptionally smooth sounding microphone preamplifier and direct instrument input amplifier, such as bass, guitar, keyboard etc. The TUBE-TECH PM 1A is a combined Microphone Preamplifier and Direct Instrument amplifier. The input provides a switchable +48 V phantom power, a select-able mic. impedance of 600/1200/2400 Ohm, a phase reverse switch, a low-cut filter (20 Hz/40 Hz/off), as well as a switchable -20 dB pad. Gain is adjustable from +10 dB to +70 dB. The Direct Instrument Input are unbalanced with a gain ranging from + 10 dB to + 60 dB. The amplifier is all tube. Input transformer is enclosed in a MU-metal can. Input and output transformers come with a static screen between the primary and secondary wirings. The input and output are balanced as well as fully floating.
